That sounds like a good observation, but it doesn't have to be a
disadvantage.  In a rave environment, it would be exceptionally
difficult to track all those reflective spots anyway-- you certainly
aren't going to be able to keep them all in the frame at any one time,
so it'll be hard to have much continuity in your tracking.  Too many
people bopping around. :-)

But there should be enough continuity to make the effect interesting,
even if you are only able to track 20% of the spots 20% of the time.
And if that's the case, you may as well incoporate spotlight glare,
neon tubes, whatever, into your algorithm.  Those things will likely
be just as continuous as your spots, maybe more so.

It sounds like an interesting experience, I'll keep an eye out for 
your rave. :)
