Hello,

We are in the process of purchasing a computer to create a Virtual
Laboratory at Memorial University of Newfoundland. The purpose is to
find better methods of teaching students to visualize many of the complex
concepts that are currently being taught. We have a limited budget to buy
a good machine and the software ($15-18,000 Cdn). There are so many
options out there so if anyone has gone through this process and have
suggestions as to the computer and software, it would be greatly
appreciated.

Some important requirements:
- the users interact with the created objects.
- VR tool kit or authouring kit is preferred
- immersion at initial stages is not required
- the software may eventually evolve to a platform independant stage
- Workstation preferred

Sincerely,
Joshua Swamidas
