I'm not sure anything like this even exists.  Are there any graduate
programs that intruct the student on HOW to model different kinds of
data?  I always see data referred in CS texts (even OO texts) as if it
were a mere side effect or incidental.  What I have in mind is
something up the lines of a "Data Architect"(i.e., How best to model
data so that it maintains its inherent properties during and after
processing).  Does such a thing exist and if so, what are good
starting points?
