Position:      Virtual Reality Research Scientist

Time:          40 hours per week, M-F 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Pay:           $35,000+/yr
Benefits:     8 paid holidays/yr, 2 weeks vacation/yr after 90 days, 12 days

Requirements:  B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer 
                       Engineering

Skills needed: C and C++ programming, Windows NT 4.0 device driver
experience, 
               3D graphics experience with Open GL, Microsoft C++ Developer's
Studio,
               Sense8 Multi-thread WorldToolKit NT, Pentium Multi-thread P.C.
               hardware and software understanding.

Skills helpful:Sense8's WorldToolKit VR development experience,  Ascension
     
               Technology position tracker knowledge, 5DT VR glove
experience, 
               custom device driver creation in C and C++, speech recognition
  
               integration into P.C. applications and dual Pentium II 300 
               hardware integration and configuration experience.

Duties:     Program virtual environment scenarios in WorldToolKit NT (Open
GL).  
               Program custom device drivers for parallel ports, voice
recognizer, 
               odor generator system and Ascension's Space Pad position
sensor in    
               WorldToolKit NT for virtual reality development project for
               VR training systems.  Integrate these drivers into VR
               interface, also under development.  Work with project's
Principal     
               Investigator to create unique and impressive fully immersive 
               virtual training systems with stereo-vision HMD, 3D HRTF
audio,
               various synchronized odors, directional heat and wind and 250
Watts
               directional impulse shock waves, all under computer control.
