The Latest link on the CAVERNUS is to CAVERN, the CAVE
Research Network. CAVERN is an alliance of industrial 
and research institutions equipped with CAVEs, ImmersaDesks 
and high-performance computing resources all interconnected 
by high-speed networks to support collaboration in design,
training, scientific visualization and computational steering, 
in virtual reality. 

The CAVE Research Network Users Society will have it's
first ever Birds of a Feather session at the upcoming SC97.
The BOF is scheduled for:

	CAVERNUS - Birds of a Feather - SC97
	Tuesday night, November 18, at 7:00pm
	in Room H of the San Jose Convention Center.
	********************************************

This Birds of a Feather is a chance for CAVE users to meet and
discuss issues pertaining to projection-based virtual reality 
environments.Speakers will include:

       Jason Leigh------------"CAVERN"
	   Electronic Visualization Lab
       Volodymyr Kindratenko--"Caterpillar's 
	   NCSA                Distributed Virtual 
			       Reality System"

       This will be a great chance to weigh the 
       different Distributed VR systems. CAVERN 
       which uses the CAVELibraries and 
       Caterpillar's DVR which does not.
