I full heartily agree.  A GNU VRML Viewer, a very interesting concept. 
I have been thinking about it for a long time now.  It would be a hell
of a nice project to implement. The work load would be high, but if it
was split up amongst a group it shouldn't be that bad.  If anyone is
interested in discussing this more or actually interested in bringing
such a project about please e-mail.
