After the great Pathfinder QTVR scenes from NASA, another application of 
virtual reality in the context of scientific surveys.

The Italian Group for Earthquake Defense and the Geophysics Observatory of 
Macerata, with the technical collaboration of Cineca and By-the-Web srl, 
present a damage survey of the towns in the epicentral area of the earthquake 
event that struck central italy on September the 26th.
Single nodes and multinode QuickTime Virtual Reality scenes at various 
resolutions are now available at
