Position Description: The ideal candidate is imaginative, bright, self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and is a product-oriented team player. S/he possesses extensive C/C++ programming training and/or experience, and produces very clean and professional code. It is desirable that the candidate have some Silicon Graphics Workstation graphics programming experience, ideally including GL/OpenGL and X/Motif. MS-DOS=AE and MS-Windows=AE programming experience are a strong plus. The candidate preferably has a bachelors or a masters degree, has formal computer science training, and is detail-oriented. Ideally, s/he also has some interest in computer modeling of static and dynamic physical systems. A broad range of responsibilities and learning opportunities include: enhancing human-computer interfaces for our existing software products; developing interfaces for exotic virtual reality peripheral devices, such as head-mounted displays and 6D spatial trackers; working with our other computer graphics experts to simulate interactions between computer-generated virtual objects in a virtual environment; and working with third-party software developers to integrate our software products.
