     Well, for starters ask for a real patent number.  "08/502,362"
is not a valid US patent number.  Active US patent numbers are numbers in
the range 4,000,000 to about 5,700,000.  Once you get a real patent number,
you can read the patent from "www.ibm.com/patents".
