From: VR committee Subject: CONF: VR CHINA-2 Date: September 15, 1997 Sponsored by China Nanjing Computer Professional VR Technology Committee (CNVRTC), Nanjing Polytechnic College and Southeast University China, the first Chinese International Virtual Reality Technology Conference & Exhibition (CIVR *98) are to be held between April 14 and April 17, 1998 in Nanjing China. A lot of VR experts from many countries and Chinese excellent computer specialists will attend the Conference & Exhibition when it is held. The theme of this Conference & Exhibition is Introduction of VR Technology into China. In recent years, computer technology and industry has developed very fast in China. However, Chinese VR technology is still in its beginning stages and needs developing greatly. It is the hope of the Government that VR technology can be reinforced and promoted in China through this conference and Exhibition; a VR technology consultative committee which is composed of international specialists can take actions. And, it is the strong desire of the technical professionals and the different kinds of consumers , especially the circles of military, medicine, education and entertainment that the advanced VR technology and products can be introduced into China. Ratified by Government and Computer Professional Organization, the first Computer VR Technology Society of China and an International VR Experts Committee will be established as a result of the Conference & Exhibition.
