Electrical Engineer -- 9/19/97

InterSense, Inc., a rapidly growing startup company in Cambridge,
Massachusetts, has an immediate job opening for an electrical engineer
to join a dynamic R&D team developing cutting edge motion-tracking
technology for human-computer interface applications.

InterSense designs, develops, manufactures and markets advanced
sensor-fusion tracking technologies for television and film cameras,
VR and augmented reality head-mounted displays, simulation and
training and numerous other applications. Our core technology, which
was invented and patented at MIT, is the first head-tracker to make
use of micro-machined inertial sensor technology. We seek an
experienced engineer with strong analog circuit design skills to carry
out product development engineering on our line of inertial and
ultrasonic sensor-based motion tracking systems.

Responsibilities:
 * design sensor integration electronics, especially analog signal
conditioning and interface
circuitry
 * carry designs all the way through productization, including
development of prototypes and
production circuit boards to meet FCC and other regulatory requirements
 * develop methods for calibration and testing of sensor systems
 * possibly design, build and program electromechanical equipment for
test and calibration

Qualifications:
 * B.S. or M.S. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering and at least 3
years experience
 * strong analog circuit design skills, preferably including low-noise
techniques, A/D converters,
miniature micro-power circuitry, wireless IR and RF communications
 * ability to use schematic capture software, track ECOs, and either do
PCB layout or manage an
outside layout person
 * experience with inertial sensors (gyros & accelerometers),
magnetometers, ultrasonics, electro-
optics or RF engineering are pluses
 * must be able to thrive in a start-up company environment, and work
well together with a small
but very dedicated team

Benefits:
 * competitive salary commensurate with experience
 * stock options at an early valuation available
