[Jerry sent this to me directly. I'm posting this to the
group, I think that the references are worth noting.

Hi Toni,

In Friday's Virtu-L (sci.v-w) you posted a response to an Info seeker
on networked VR with pointers to The Knowledge Base. A quick look
there showed the omission of two good summary articles available
online:

Virtual Reality and Technologies for Combat Simulation
(OTA-BP-ISS-136, GPO stock #052-003-01397-5, NTIS order #PB95-109658)
http://www.wws.princeton.edu/~ota/disk1/1994/9444_n.html

Distributed Interactive Simulation of Combat
(OTA-BP-ISS-151, GPO stock #052-003-01428-9)
http://www.wws.princeton.edu/~ota/disk1/1995/9512_n.html

Both are from the now defunct Congressional Office of Technology
Assessment. The first one includes several sections from my last
offical "What Is VR" writeup. They did a good job beefing it up.
