The Virtual Reality Applications Research Team (VIRART) at the
University of Nottingham, UK has spent six years developing
applications using a range of virtual reality platforms. As a result
of close collaboration with VE users, particularly in special needs
education, we are developing guidelines for VE building taking into
account the specific needs of users. We also have PhD research
ongoing which intends to specify design guidelines for building
virtual environments. Academic publications can be obtained on
request.
