  The Society for Computer Simulation International (SCS) is a professional
  society devoted primarily to the advancement of simulation and allied
  computer arts in all fields.  The purpose of SCS is to facilitate
  communication among practitioners in the areas of computer simulation and
  mathematical modeling.  SCS has a worldwide membership and is a member of the
  American Federation of Information Processing Societies and the American
  Automatic Control Council.

      Sponsored by The Society for Computer Simulation International [SCS]

	The 1998 Advanced Simulation Technologies Conference features
simulations and simulation technology in a wide array of disciplines within the
military, government and aerospace arena. These disciplines include weapons,
vehicles, aircraft, spacecraft, communications, and decision support.

	The topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
		- Visualization and Virtual Reality
		- C4I Simulation
		- High-Level Architecture (HLA)
		- Computer Generated Forces
		- DIS / DIS++ / SISO
		- Embedded Training
		- Battle Field/Battle Theater Simulation
		- Distributed Interactive Simulation
		- Avionics/Flight Control Simulation and Visualization
		- Ballistics and Propellant Simulation
		- Flight Simulation and Methodologies
		- Lethality, Vulnerability, and Survivability
		- Mission Planning and Rehearsal
		- Simulation and Control of Spacecraft
		- Intelligent Systems Simulation
                - Test and Evaluation
                - Verification, Validation and Accreditation

	Engineering personnel, Modelers, researchers, developers, and
experimentalists from industry, academia, DOD, DOE, and other government
installations are invited to contribute and participate in this conference.
Send three copies of original previously unpublished papers or abstracts to the
address below by October 20, 1997. Notification of acceptance or rejection
will be made by November 10, 1997.  Author kits should be received by accepted
authors by December 1, 1997.  Responsibility for all clearances associated with
full papers - which will be published in the conference proceedings - rests
with the author. The due date for camera-ready copy is January 12, 1998.
