OK, I have a working 3D engine on my computer, and I am working at
figuring out how to get it to work with my Sega shutter glasses. For a
highschool student on a tight budget, where would you guys recommend
going next? I thought of making a HMD, but I really hate the commercial
ones that I've used. I like the head tracking, but...

I was wondering what about building a partial cave? How do caves work
anyway? Are there any faqs for cave building?

Also, are there any affordable alternatives to the Power Glove for glove
type input. I have plans, for building the finger sensors from fiber
optics, but what about tracking where my hand actually is? And easy way
to track that. It needs to be something lightweight, and cheap. The
idea is to see how cheap I can do this for. Currently, I am at $1100,
and I hope to move from my S3 video board to a 3Dfx soon.
