Hi--

A quick reminder that there is only ONE WEEK LEFT in the Buzz.wrl of the
Week contest & sweepstakes from VRML.SGI.COM. Be sure to vote for a
chance to win a Fire GL 1000 graphics accelerator or a Maximum DVD Kit
from Diamond Multimedia. You can vote once a day, every day to increase
your chances.

Here are the winners for Week 9, as well as a look at the final
week's contestants:

Editor's Choice:
"Virtual Head II" from Brandon Rickman
The sequel to the original Virtual Head (which can be found in the
VRML.SGI.COM gallery)--this one's made from thousands of moving dots.

People's Choice:
"DesignSpace Gallery" from Tom Shadle
A group of 3 worlds that visualize how parts withstand load.

The Week 10 contestants are:
   * Huffer -- Remember transformers? Here's a fully convertible version
of the one called "Huffer"--more than meets the eye.
   * Knight Takes Rook -- Rook takes pawn and knight takes rook in this
     virtual chess battle.
   * Dancing Girl -- The movements for this animated dancing girl come
     from motion capture data.
   * Why We Die -- A nearly four-minute animated version of a Native
     American tale.
   * Virtual Lathe -- Create your own masterpiece by moving the rod into
the spinning stock to cut material away.

Buzz.wrl voting and official rules can be found at http://vrml.sgi.com

Good luck
