Hi all--

The Week 10 winner has been selected and it's now down to the 10
finalists (each of the 10 weekly winners) in the Buzz.Wrl of the Week
contest from VRML.SGI.COM

Now's your last chance to participate and win--come by and look them over
and vote for your favorites.

Week 10's winner in both the Editor's Choice and People's Choice
categories was Alan Taylor's "Why We Die", a nearly four minute animated
version of a Native American tale--if you haven't seen it yet, you're
missing out.

The 10 overall finalists are:
   * Landmarks of the Head -- an accurate 3D head with over 40
     anthropometric landmarks
   * Nebular Nomad II -- one of a series of deep-space exploration ships,
     propelled by nuclear explosions
   * The Chase -- Jo and Oscar vanquish the evil of the Vespa riding
     Monks of Doom
   * MOD Dance Party -- a Pulp Fiction-esque scene from the creators of
     The Chase
   * Delta VRML Banner -- a small and interactive ad banner for Delta
     Airlines
   * Florida Estuary -- a detailed replica of a typcial Central Florida
     estuary
   * Kaleidoscope -- take a virtual look at that familiar childhood toy
   * Frosty Run Amuck -- answers the question of what kind of magic was
in "that old top hat they found"
   * Virtual Head II -- a model of the head built completely of moving
     dots
   * Why We Die -- the Week 10 winner (above)

Congratulations to all the finalists. The VRML.SGI.COM editorial staff
will announce the winner on February 9. STAY TUNED!!!
