Hello everyone, I finally have ARToolkit working on a PC system using the Logitech Quickcam 3000 Pro and displaying the initial desired VRML file. I am now ready to proceed with the goggle display. Could someone please suggest a mono or stereo goggle known to work with ARToolkit 2.52 on a PC? Thank you! Regards, David K. Drum david@m ....... |

People recommended me i-glasses SVGA (www.i-glasses.com) so I bought them. That's the only one of the kind I ever used so can't compare to other products. There are some minor problems: one of the mirrors seem to be badly fixed so the image shifts when you nod your head. Also, the quality of the ear piece seem bad and it looks like it was going to break soon. As for something that's over 600 bucks, they could have made it solid. But the picture quality is good and I had no technical problems with it, nor any problems installing it. They have a stereo version of it too, way more expensive. pawel On Mon, 2002-09-30 at 09:57, David Drum wrote: > Hello everyone, > > I finally have ARToolkit working on a PC system using the Logitech > Quickcam 3000 Pro and displaying the initial desired VRML file. I have use the stereo i-Glasses SVGA with AR-Toolkit, though so far this has only been in non-stereo. They do work but I have the same complaints...mirror arrangements limit flexibility. It is hard (for me) to get both images aligned and there are no provisions if you need to use glasses (at least that I could figure out). Image quality is nice due to the higher resolution. To do stereo with the NVidia cards we use, you need the more recent stereo control panel drivers. Any word out there on camera calibration utilities that can work with 640 X 480 cameras rather than the hard coded 320 X 240? Hi David, For the low-end the Sony Glasstron PLM-A35 is a good choice. They are non-stereo glasses but are lightweight and you can buy them for about $300 on ebay. www.i-glasses.com is a good source for glasses as well. Hope this helps..
