Subject: | VRML for ARToolKit | ||
Hi, we are currently working with the VRML viewer provided with VRML4ATK and are not happy with the rendering results. Other VRML viewers (e.g the Blaxxun viewer under Windows) display the same models with better quality. Has someone any experience in using another VRML viewer with ARToolKit under LINUX? What specific product can be recommended? How can it be integrated in ARToolKit? Is there perhaps even some piece of specific documentation available for integrating another viewer in ARToolKit? Any help is appreciated! Rainer Blum ------------------------------------------------------------- Dipl. Inf. Hi, I do not know what kind of quality you mentioned. But as far as I know, OpenVRML does not generate normal vector for each vertex automatically. So The model is rendered with flat shading. But if normal vectors are included in the VRML, it is rendered with smooth shading. So if your model does not include normal vector, please try to add normal vector into your VRML model. >we are currently working with the VRML viewer provided with VRML4ATK and >are not happy with the rendering results.
