Dear all, I am now attacking ARToolkit seriously and I have started to compile a list of issues/fix from previous emails from the last year. I would like to put this info on a twiki-like web page so that others can add info and beginner can get going fast and solve issues coming up. Anyone has already that setup somewhere or has experience with setting up a twiki? Mark was saying that an application has been done to place ARtoolkit in sourceForge, that would be a good place, any result on that? I also have some questions: -Is ARToolkit 2.52 the latest release from HITLab available at: http://www.hitl.washington.edu/artoolkit/ ? -Is ARToolkit 2.65 the most "improved" version of ARToolkit using DirectX and sizable resolution available at: http://mtd.fh-hagenberg.at/depot/graphics/artoolkit/ -Is there a newer official or unofficial version that include the change of 2.65 ? -what is the latest release of DX that works with ARToolkit? Runtime 8.1 or 9.0? SDK 8.0? -where is the "official" page for downloading DirectX SDK? I found 8.0 SDK from www.download.com, not Microsoft page! -Are any of the changes in 2.65 supposed to be included in the official (meaning from the Hitlab) version of ARToolkit? How about other fixes (e.g. DraggonFly problems, single image capture problem, flipping and roation of capture....) thanks Yohan _______________________________________________________________________ Yohan BAILLOT Virtual Reality Laboratory, Advanced Information Technology (Code 5580), Naval Research Laboratory, 4555 Overlook Avenue SW, Washington, DC 20375-5337 Email : baillot@a ............... We are actually in the last stages of getting a discussion forum set up. So if you wait for about a week we should have that running. That'll make it much easier to archive ARToolKit messages. The new website is almost ready to go as well :) Mark On Mon, 10 Feb 2003, Fivos DOGANIS wrote: > Date: Mon, 10 Feb 2003 09:57:44 +0100 > From: Fivos DOGANIS <Fivos.Doganis@i .................> > To: Yohan Baillot <baillot@a ...............>, artoolkit@h .................. > Subject: RE: getting started better > > Hello, > > I think setting up a wiki with old e-mails and using sourceforge is a > brilliant idea. Lovely! I'll be patient :) Thanks for the reply! What about sourceforge, CVS and ARToolKit modifications? There are several fixes/features that many people would like to introduce to ARToolKit by contributing to the source code. Will that be possible? Will the licence of the ARToolKit change? The following (found on the official website): "NOTE: ARToolKit is distributed free for non-commercial or research applications. For commercial uses of ARToolKit or other questions please contact Mark Billinghurst" is a bit vague for such a popular project... May I suggest something more like Intel's OpenCV licence?
