Call For Paper for VRST'03
Conference on Virtual Reality Software and Technology 2003 will be
held on October 1-3, 2003, at Osaka University Convention Center,
Osaka, Japan. Osaka has served as a center of the Japanese economy
since ancient times, as a gateway overseas. In modern times, as the
forerunner of the industrial revolution, Osaka has led the Japanese
economy, giving birth to many vital industries including entertainment
areas. Osaka is near Kyoto and Nara, the ancient capitals of Japan.
Participants will also enjoy unique food culture in Osaka.
VRST is a primary annual international conference on recent research
and development of virtual reality. The conference proceedings are
published by ACM Press. The first VRST was held in Singapore in 1994
and since then it has been held in Japan (1995), Hong Kong (1996),
Switzerland (1997), Taiwan (1998), United Kingdom (1999), Korea
(2000), Canada (2001), and Hong Kong(2002).
VRST 2003 solicits high quality papers containing original research
results in all aspects of virtual reality and related areas. The
conference themes include but are not limited to the following
topics:
Interaction Techniques and Devices
Collaborative VEs and Networked VEs
Haptics
Visual/Audio Interfaces
Hardware Devices
Human Factors
Graphics Algorithms
Modeling and Simulation
Real-Time Rendering
VR System Architecture
Augmented/Mixed Reality Software and Systems
VR based Entertainment and Education
Medical/Industrial Applications
-- Information for Authors --
A paper should be in English and in the Conference Publications
Format. Papers must be no longer than ten pages, including
references, appendices, and figures. They must include title, author
names, contacts and affiliations, abstract, keywords, body, and
references. The abstract must be 150 words or less and must be
included in the paper. All papers will be reviewed by an
international program committee.
A paper should be submitted through the official web site in PDF
format. All papers will be reviewed and processed electronically. The
information on the paper and a contact author's email address,
mailing address, phone number, and fax number also must be submitted
through the official web site by May 6, 2003.
Movies or other materials can also be submitted through official web
site. The format of movies must be AVI/QuickTime/MPEG-1 within 3
minutes. And the size of all materials must not be exceed 100 mega
bytes. These submissions also must be received by May 6, 2003.

Camera-ready copy due: August 8, 2003
