PCI framegrabber

Hello folks,
   I recall that AR functioning is independent of the framegrabber (since
the underlying video functions are handled by DirectX). I have a PCI
framegrabber that has the required drivers installed. When I run AR I get
a  blank window. Does anyone have any idea whats to be done?

Just in case Directshow is a pblm with my framegrabber, I was wondering which version of AR would I use if I just had Video for Windows / WDM drivers.
