firewire tricks...

Dear all,

could anyone suggest a way that i might pipe video from one computer to 
another via firewire? I would like to feed the output of one program to 
the video input of another on another machine.

I have previously mentioned that I also want to do this between two apps 
on the same machine.

can anyone suggest a non-analog way of doing this?
