What library are you using to capture video? I've never tried to use the point grey directshow filter; I use their PgrFly SDK directly, via our VideoWrapper library (on sourceforge). Also, what do you intend to do with the stereo? Daniel Kwarteng wrote: > Hello, > > Has anyone successfully used a Bumblebee (1024x768, Stereocamera), Point > Grey with ARToolkit under Linux? --Apple-Mail-13--681326000 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed The point grey cameras are not DV. They are uncompressed, and use (if anything) standard DCAM modes. I have only accessed mine through their api's on windows. I don't have any of their stereo cameras. I actually would be surprised if the Bumblebee would work; there are two cameras in there, and I would think you'd need to tell the camera what to send. Have you tried asking Point Grey? They are usually pretty responsive. Have you tried searching on their web site for articles? They have tons of technical info on the cameras up there. If you can run on windows instead of linux, just use their api. It's trivial to use, and very fast and efficient. With the Bumblebee, you can get the video from both cameras, and they actually have the camera parameters embedded in the hardware (so you don't need to calibrate the cameras!) (of course, at this very instant in time, their web site seems screwed up, although it was fine 5 minutes ago). > 1: Video4Linux > No video config string supplied, using defaults. > video device (/dev/video0) open failed > > 2: Video4Linux+JPEG Decompression (EyeToy) > No video config string supplied, using defaults. > video device (/dev/video0) open failed > > 3: Digital Video Camcoder through IEEE 1394 (DV Format) > No video config string supplied, using defaults. > Image size (x,y) = (720,480) > > 4: Digital Video Camera through IEEE 1394 (VGA NONCOMPRESSED Image > Format) > No video config string supplied, using defaults. > Auto-detecting firewire camera because card and node is not > specified > 1394 card 0 node 0 is a [Point Grey Research - BumbleBee] --> > auto detected > 1394 card 0 node 1 is not a camera [INVALID] > Using the firewire camera on card 0 and node 0 > Sorry, Unsupported Video Format for IEEE1394 Camera. > > 5: GStreamer Media Framework > make: *** [all] Fehler 2 > > I suppose I have to choose configuration 3.
