hi list,
i am working on a small game using a series of cubes, with a
marker fitted to each face, as the tangibe interface.
i'd like to explore alternatives to the 'look' of the
black-and-white marker.
has any research been done into the use of alternative markers types
(using free software)? i realise it's perhaps difficult given
the limits of the CV library but:
1/ ideally i'd have a single unique colour for each side of my
cube interface and perform colour tracking of these square
regions against a white background.
2/ a unique colour picture containing flat regions of colour
onto which the tracking would lock. each picture-marker would be
a block-colour elevation of the model attached to that marker.
3/ something like this:

the cubes will eventually be solid (printed) plastic.
cheers!
