In fall of 1994, the Virtual Environments Class developed a model of Charles Gwathmey's proposed addition to the UW Henry Art Gallery. The virtual world was based on digital information provided by LMN Architects, and was used to demonstrate the ability of real-time simulation technology to represent an architectural proposal. The gallery addition was modelled in the context of Red Square, the central plaza of the University of Washington campus which offers views of the Olympic Mountains and Mt. Rainier.
