 Currently associated with the Micro-optical fabrication of a fiber scanning system project.

Bernie joined the scanning fiber endoscope project in 2006. Prior to working at HITL, he has worked in the fields of bioinformatics, laser retinal imaging, tissue engineering, parallel supercomputers, and astrophysics. His current hobbies include ice skating, fencing, and generalized state space models. He also enjoys 500 year old worm eaten books he can hardly read and illuminated manuscripts.
