Shamus has a background in education, he has a BA in Linguistics and MA in Teaching. Shamus is currently a doctoral student in Educational Technology.
Shamus is collaborating with the HIT Lab on a project measuring flow physiology in gaming environments. His main interest is Intelligent Computer Assisted Language Learning (ICALL) but he is also interested in creating Instructional Design based on Augmented Learning Environments.
Outside the Lab Shamus enjoys spending time with his family and friends as well as non-assigned reading
